Post Malone will headline Strummingbird 2026 across Ballarat, Newcastle, and the Sunshine Coast this October, marking his first Australian shows in three years as the festival rolls out a country-heavy lineup.

Post Malone will return to Australia this October as the headline act for Strummingbird 2026, organizers confirmed Tuesday.
The touring country festival will run across three dates: Victoria Park in Ballarat on Oct. 10, Newcastle Foreshore on Oct. 17, and Kawana Sports Precinct on the Sunshine Coast on Oct. 18. The event is presented by Kicks Entertainment. Presale opens Wednesday, May 13, followed by general sale on Thursday, May 14 at strummingbird.com.au.
Malone leads a lineup that also includes Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Cam, and Sons of the East, plus a wider mix of international and Australian country artists.
The booking follows Malone’s country era run behind F-1 Trillion, his 2024 crossover release that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album. The project included collaborations with Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll, and produced the Hot 100 top 10 single “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen.
His Strummingbird appearance comes after recent festival sets at Coachella and Stagecoach, and marks his first Australian shows in three years after a sold-out run at Splendour in the Grass.
Zimmerman arrives as the festival’s second-billed international name, following his debut Religiously. The Album. and 2025 follow-up Different Night Same Rodeo, which featured Luke Combs. Cooper Alan, known for “Plead the Fifth” and “Take Forever (Hally’s Song),” is also among the top international bookings.
Additional acts include Stella Lefty, Dexter & The Moonrocks, Cigarettes @ Sunset, Kaitlin Butts, Noah Rinker, and Brad Cox. Australian artists on the bill include Sons of the East, Max Jackson, Mack Geiger, Briana Dinsdale, and Sara Berki.
Country DJ Willie Pake is scheduled to lead late-night sets at all three dates, with line-dancing sessions hosted by Maddison Glover. Local performers will open each stop: Lewis Love in Ballarat, Gamilaraay artist Loren Ryan in Newcastle, and Sammy White on the Sunshine Coast.
