Meg Stalter has announced her debut album, Crave, and released lead single “Prettiest Girl In America,” marking her shift from comedy and acting into pop ahead of the album’s summer release.

Meg Stalter has announced her debut album, Crave, and released its lead single, Prettiest Girl In America, today.
Best known for her work as an actor and comedian, including roles in Hacks and Lena Dunham’s Too Much, Stalter is now launching a pop project. She wrote every song on Crave with Jesse Thomas, and the album was produced by Thomas and Matias Mora. The full record is due later this summer.
The rollout has been in motion for months. During a 2025 appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert while promoting Too Much, Stalter wore a T-shirt-turned-corset reading “Meg Stalter is the prettiest girl in America,” a line that now connects directly to the single’s title.
Prettiest Girl In America leans into an early-2000s pop and electroclash style, with Stalter delivering satirical lyrics about being rich, famous, and attractive.
“Not the Meg Stalter lookalike competition actually being a Meg Stalter musical debut listening party but then she returns to the lookalikes and starts roasting them SHES TOO GOOD”
The post, shared by Greta Rainbow on May 1, 2026, captured one of the first public events tied to Stalter’s music launch.
