Zara Larsson and PinkPantheress Reunite on New “Midnight Sun” Remix
Zara Larsson has dropped a new “Midnight Sun” remix with PinkPantheress as part of her remix album Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, out now on Epic, following the chart success of their earlier “Stateside” collaboration.
Zara Larsson has released a new remix of Midnight Sun title track “Midnight Sun,” featuring PinkPantheress, as part of her new full-length remix project Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, out now via Epic.
The release marks a quick follow-up to the pair’s previous collaboration on the “Stateside” remix from Larsson’s remix set Fancy Some More?. That track gained momentum after Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu used it for her Exhibition Gala skate and went on to reach No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Larsson’s biggest U.S. hit to date.
Larsson’s current run follows an unexpected 2024 revival tied to TikTok’s “Symphony” dolphin meme, which brought renewed attention to her 2017 Clean Bandit collaboration. She leaned into that moment in the visual rollout for “Midnight Sun,” then expanded her U.S. profile on tour dates supporting Tate McRae.
On Midnight Sun: Girls Trip, Larsson rebuilds every track from the original album with guest features across the project. The lineup includes Tyla, Shakira, Kehlani, and Robyn, who appears on a new version of “Puss Puss.”
The PinkPantheress remix of “Midnight Sun” pushes the song toward a faster, club-oriented frame, adding chopped percussion and low-end accents associated with UK dance styles. The full remix album is now streaming.
