Tori Kelly announced her sixth studio album 'God Must Really Love Me' on May 5 via Instagram. The album is due June 12. Two singles, 'Control' and 'Dive', arrive May 8. Kelly cites post-birth inspiration and lists collaborators including DIXSON, Nija Charles and Emily Warren.

Tori Kelly announced her sixth studio album ‘God Must Really Love Me’ on May 5 via an Instagram post. The album is due June 12.

She also said two singles, ‘Control’ and ‘Dive’, will be released on May 8.

The project follows 2024’s ‘Tori’. A press release described the new record as ‘most intimate work yet’ and said it will explore love, identity and the quiet work of protecting your peace amid the constant noise of the outside world.

The announcement arrived about six months after the birth of Kelly’s first child with husband André Murillo. The press release said Kelly was ‘gripped by a rush of inspiration’ not long after giving birth and that the inspiration ‘reshaped her creative instincts.’

‘Before the baby was born I’d tried to work on as many songs as possible, because I thought maybe I wouldn’t want to write once I was in mom mode,’ Kelly said. ‘But then everything just hit me at once and right away I knew what I needed to say and exactly how I wanted it to sound.’

Kelly wrote most of the album’s tracks alone before collaborating in the studio with producers and co-writers DIXSON (Kehlani, Vic Mensa), Nija Charles (Summer Walker, Kiana Ledé), Emily Warren (Dua Lipa, Noah Kahan) and Ammo (Beyoncé, Teddy Swims). Her primary collaborators on the project are Tommy King (HAIM, Donna Missal) and Dan Farber (Lizzo, Alessia Cara).

The announcement did not include detailed release plans beyond the two singles or additional tour information.
