REZN Announce New Album Cycles In The Infinite Dream; Share “Cloudfall”

Chicago doom band REZN announced a new album, Cycles In The Infinite Dream, due July 24 on Sargent House. They also released the single “Cloudfall” and a video directed by Chris Owsiany and Tom Conway.

The announcement follows a 2024 Stereogum profile and last year’s Sargent House debut, Burden. The new record expands the band’s palette of instruments and textures. Multi-instrumentalist Spencer Ouellette contributes synth, saxophone and lap steel on the single.

“Cloudfall” pairs heavy riffing with a slow, drifting pulse. The song moves between attack and drift. Lap steel surfaces in brief, wordless runs. The result keeps the weight while adding a stretched, proggy sense of space.

“We moved towards the dream and subconscious state as a lyrical concept and melodic theme. The pseudo-waking state is a reflection of a second existence — something that you can flee to or be imprisoned by.”

Below are the album tracklist and scheduled European tour dates. The band will play several festival dates and support dates with Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Elder and All Them Witches.
