The Chemical Brothers' 2015 single "Go" saw a 429% rise in U.S. on-demand streams after its placement in Netflix's Apex. Streams rose from 92,000 to 487,000 in the week after the film's April 24 release, Luminate reports.

The Chemical Brothers’ 2015 single “Go” registered a 429% increase in U.S. on-demand streams in the week after Netflix released Apex on April 24, according to Luminate.
The track moved from 92,000 total U.S. on-demand streams in the April 17–23 period to 487,000 in the April 24–30 period. Daily plays were averaging roughly 13,000–14,000 before the film’s release and spiked to about 127,000 on April 30. “Go” is currently listed at No. 5 on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart.
The song appears in a pivotal scene of Apex. Sasha, played by Charlize Theron, is hunted by Ben, played by Taron Egerton. Ben tells Sasha she has until the end of “Go” to keep running. The timing of the scene uses the song as a countdown device.
“Taron brought this song by The Chemical Brothers,” director Baltasar Kormákur told Decider. “I was like, ‘That’s perfect.'”
Kormákur said the scene was originally scripted with a timed line. The production tested other options, but the crew settled on “Go” after Egerton’s suggestion and a rehearsal of the scene.
Apex is currently No. 1 on Netflix’s weekly Top 10 global films and series chart.
“Go” features vocals from Q-Tip. It was released in May 2015 as the second single from The Chemical Brothers’ eighth studio album, Born in the Echoes. The song spent three weeks on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in August 2015, peaking at No. 40.
