Midrift released the title track “Silhouette” today. The song arrives ahead of their self-released debut album, Silhouette, which is due 6/5.
The band has been building buzz for a couple of years. Early tracks “Twin Flames” and “unrequited” drew attention, and last month they announced the album alongside the promising and punky lead single “over anything.”
The new title track leans into alt-rock revivalism with persistent guitar riffs. Vocalist and guitarist Gus Mehrkam sings about a void left by a former partner.
