Yard Act will release You’re Gonna Need a Little Music on July 17 via Republic. The lead single "Redeemer" is out today, accompanied by a noirish video.
The quartet cut the follow-up to Where’s My Utopia? between their Leeds base and Los Angeles. Justin Meldal-Johnsen produced the sessions.
This is the first Yard Act album the four-piece recorded together in the same room. The band called their prior two albums “laptop records.” Frontperson James Smith said in a press release:
“is about multiple realities and how individualism has led us, in the modern world, to question if there even is a shared reality anymore because everyone just believes what they want now.”
