Eartheater Announces New Album Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message, Shares “Paradise Rains”

Eartheater has announced Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message, due July 14 on Chemical X, and shared the single “Paradise Rains.”

Alexandra Drewchin has announced a new Eartheater album, Heavenly Body: If I’m The Bottle You’re The Message. The New York artist has also shared its lead single, “Paradise Rains,” and set a release date for the record: July 14 via Chemical X.

Drewchin has stayed busy since Powders arrived in 2023. In that stretch, she covered System Of A Down and worked with FKA twigs, Shygirl, and John Glacier. She also had a baby, and that experience shaped the new album.

Eartheater began recording Heavenly Body three months after the birth of her daughter, Nova, who is now ten months old. The album focuses on pregnancy and motherhood. Most of it was co-produced with TV On The Radio’s David Andrew Sitek. The exception is the closing track, “Nova,” which was co-produced with Nosaj Thing and Donnie Darko film-score composer Michael Andrews. Oklou appears on “Fast Asleep.”

“Paradise Rains” is an orchestral track. In a statement, Eartheater said it was inspired by returning to her childhood farm after being away from it for 20 years.

“Paradise Rains” is a song about buying back my childhood farm after being estranged from it for 20 years. I conceived my baby the day we first stepped back on the property. So many memories, good and bad, were resuscitated being back, and calloused tensions dissolved and got washed away by the showers of deep love with my new little family.

The album tracklist runs 11 songs deep, opening with “Eyes Of A Dove” and closing with “Nova.” Among the titles are “Practical Amnesia,” “Crown Jewel,” “Wasp In The Fig,” “Glowing Guts,” and “Hers Before Hers.”

Eartheater has also announced live dates behind the record. She’ll play three nights in Los Angeles at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever on July 15, 16, and 17, then Bowery Ballroom in New York on July 24 and 25. International dates follow in August at London’s Koko on the 27th, Paris’ Trianon on the 30th, and Berlin’s Theater des Westens on the 31st.
