Nick Cannon to Star in Netflix Docuseries on Co-Parenting 12 Children With 6 Moms

Nick Cannon's new Netflix docuseries arrives this winter and follows how he co-parents 12 children with six different moms.

Nick Cannon is taking his family life to Netflix. The entertainer will star in a new docuseries set to arrive this winter, with the streamer promising an intimate look at how he raises 12 children and co-parents with six different moms.

The project, still untitled, was announced Wednesday, May 13. According to Netflix, it will track Cannon’s “wildly unconventional life” and move from “million-dollar meetings to midnight diaper runs” as he balances his career, family schedule and what the streamer described as headline-making drama.

Cannon first became a father in 2011, when he and Mariah Carey welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe. After his split from the Grammy winner in 2014, he and Brittany Bell had son Golden Sagon in 2017, daughter Powerful Queen in 2020 and son Rise Messiah in 2022. He also shares twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa, along with daughter Beautiful Zeppelin. With Bre Tiesi, he has son Legendary Love, and with LaNisha Cole, he shares daughter Onyx Ice.

He and model Alyssa Scott also had son Zen, who died of brain cancer at a few months old in 2021. The following year, Scott and Cannon welcomed daughter Halo.

The news lands after years of public jokes about the size of Cannon’s family, a subject he has mostly taken in stride while continuing to stress his role as a father. The docuseries gives him a platform to show that side directly.

In September, Cannon spoke on The Breakfast Club about how his past may have shaped the way he approached fatherhood. “It was more of being careless, being frivolous with my process, because I could do it, because I had the money, because I had the access to whoever and however I wanted to move,” he said. “Opposed to doing a mature thing and saying, ‘Hey, well, it probably makes more sense to do this.’ And then, obviously, life happens as well. So it wasn’t like, ‘Well, I’m gonna go have 12 kids.’ It was more about, like, ‘Yo, I’mma just live life and have fun and whatever happens, happens, I can handle it.’”
