Boston Hardcore Band RISK Release New LP Forever
Boston hardcore band RISK release Forever, a seven-song, 17-minute LP out now on Triple B.
Boston area hardcore band RISK have returned with Forever, a seven-song release that runs just 17 minutes and is out now on Triple B.
The band have been active for more than a decade, but until now had only issued one album, 2022’s Monologues Of Misery. Forever follows that record and keeps to a direct, familiar hardcore template rather than reaching for crossover moves or genre detours.
The new LP is a ’90s-style burst of hard-edged ferocity, metallic without tipping too far into metal. The riffs are large, the vocals are sharp, and the Frank Sinatra samples add a small, unexpected wrinkle. RISK are not trying to reinvent the form here. They are doing it straight.
