BabyChiefDoit Shares “Rambo,” a Brass-Heavy Drill Left Turn
BabyChiefDoit drops "Rambo," a brass-blasted drill track that pushes beyond the sound of his previous single "The Crib."
BabyChiefDoit has dropped a new single, “Rambo,” and it finds the Chicago rapper pushing a little further out from the drill template he leaned into on “The Crib.” The track opens with a blunt line from the young Stereogum-endorsed artist: “I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t the best/ To all the pretty girls I went to school with, I think we should still have sex.”
The production is bigger and more exaggerated than on his previous release, built around a brass-heavy beat that feels like Drake’s “Trophies” filtered through drill, with a hook pulled from military chants. It is not the same lane as “The Crib,” but it lands with the same immediate pull.
