Andrew Lownie stands by claim Sarah Ferguson and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship
Andrew Lownie defends allegations that Sarah Ferguson had a sexual relationship with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in his updated book.
Royal author Andrew Lownie is standing by his claim that Sarah Ferguson once had a sexual relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Lownie, whose 2025 book Entitled tracked the lives of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his former wife, published fresh allegations about Ferguson and Combs on Saturday, May 9. In an updated paperback extract, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, due out on May 21, he claimed Combs bragged about his sex life with Ferguson and met her in luxury hotels, including one room that reportedly cost more than £50,000 a night.
In an extract published by the Daily Mail over the weekend, Lownie said a former employee at Combs’ Bad Boy Records told him the rapper was fixated on the royal family and boasted about sleeping with Ferguson. The source also alleged that Combs once said “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age”.
Combs was sentenced last year to four years and two months in prison after being convicted on federal prostitution-related charges.
The book also cites another associate of the singer, who said Ferguson first met Combs at a 2002 party hosted by Ghislaine Maxwell and that a secret “friends with benefits” arrangement began in 2004 and went on for years.
Maxwell, a friend of Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein’s former partner, was convicted in December 2021 of sex trafficking and related charges linked to procuring underage girls for Epstein.
A source close to Ferguson rejected the new allegations, telling The Sunday Times: “This is absolute fabricated nonsense, blatantly untrue, and yet another false allegation from him.”
Lownie said his material came from several people and that he had no doubts about his sources. “I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson,” he told the paper, adding that Ferguson had been shown to have lied about cutting contact with Epstein in 2011.
Last September, an email emerged showing Ferguson had called Epstein, who was arrested in July 2019 on sex trafficking charges, her “supreme friend” and apologised for criticising him publicly, despite saying only weeks earlier that she would have nothing to do with him. Several charities then dropped her as patron and ambassador.
The hardback edition of Entitled was published last August and preceded the wider fallout around Andrew and Ferguson, including claims that the former prince was a “serial sex addict” who had allegedly slept with more than 1,000 women.
In the paperback, Lownie also says a men’s fragrance Combs released in 2006, called “Unforgivable”, was inspired by Ferguson and by how she liked a man to smell.
He further claims Ferguson introduced her two daughters to Combs on multiple occasions, including a yacht-party weekend in 2006, when Eugenie was 16. A royal staff member is quoted as telling the author: “Sean’s parties were wild. The fact that she brought Eugenie around was alarming.”
