Dazy releases singles “BIG Problem” and “Gravity” ahead of Sleaford Mods tour

Dazy released two new singles, "BIG Problem" and "Gravity", his first songs of 2026. The tracks are out now on Lame-O; dates with Sleaford Mods follow.

James Goodson, recording as Dazy, has released two new singles — “BIG Problem” and “Gravity” — his first new songs of 2026.

Goodson records and performs solo under the Dazy name. The project has produced fuzz-pop songs that recall the peak of the 1990s. Last year Dazy issued the Bad Penny EP, the single “Pay No Mind (To The Signs)”, and the Militarie Gun collaboration “Tall People Don’t Live Long”.

Goodson is set to hit the road with Sleaford Mods. The new tracks move deeper into synthy indie-dance territory than much of his previous material, and it sounds like he added a melodica to his toolkit.

I think at the end of the day, I pretty much make singer-songwriter music. It’s usually just simple chord progressions and vocal melodies, but I like the idea of taking those fundamentals and finding ways to bend the presentation. I feel like the more I try to change things up, the more I sort of discover the true constants of my own songwriting, the things that make it sound like me whether it’s in the context of big distorted guitars or samples — or hopefully anything.
