Don Toliver’s “E85” video shows a police chase, interrogation, and a helicopter escape from Kali Uchis.

Don Toliver’s “E85” video is out, and it leans hard into a police-chase fantasy. The clip arrived Wednesday, May 13, after Toliver had teased it at the end of his Rolling Loud Orlando set.
Directed by Shadrinsky, the visual follows Toliver as he tears down the highway in a Porsche 918 and gets pursued by a cluster of police cars in a scene that plays like a full-on Grand Theft Auto wanted level. He is eventually detained, then shown being pressed in an interrogation room from the perspective of officer bodycam footage.
From there, the video keeps escalating. Toliver breaks into a scuffle with the officers, takes possession of one of their guns during the altercation, and runs for the station rooftop. That is where Kali Uchis enters the picture. Toliver’s real-life partner lands a helicopter on the roof and pulls off the escape, with Toliver hanging from the skids as they get away.
The release follows a week of speculation after footage from the video started circulating online on Friday, May 8, leading some fans to think Toliver had been detained in Florida. He shut that down by screening parts of the clip later that night during his Rolling Loud Orlando performance.
“E85” is currently No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has stayed in the chart’s top 40 since its January release. The song opens Octane, which arrived in January and gave Toliver his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, with 162,000 total album-equivalent units, according to Luminate.
Toliver is also in the middle of the Octane Tour. The run stopped in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Tuesday, May 12, and is set to continue with a homecoming show in Houston at the Toyota Center on Thursday, May 14.
