Dua Lipa joined Kevin Parker at Tame Impala’s London O2 Arena show for a surprise set featuring “After Thought” and “Houdini.”

Dua Lipa made a surprise appearance at Tame Impala’s London show on Thursday night, stepping onstage with Kevin Parker at the O2 Arena for an unannounced two-song set.
Lipa entered midway through the band’s performance of “After Thought,” their 2025 collaboration, with no introduction. She went straight into the chorus before Parker formally brought out his “good friend” at the end of the song.
“Let’s play a song that we made together!” he announced, before the pair moved into Lipa’s 2024 hit “Houdini.” Parker produced the funk-leaning single for Radical Optimism, Lipa’s third studio album, and also worked on several other tracks on the record.
The London moment adds another entry to a growing run of live cameos between the two artists. In 2024, Lipa brought Parker out during her Glastonbury headlining set for “Houdini” and Tame Impala’s “The Less I Know the Better.” During her 2025 Radical Optimism tour, she also invited him onstage in Melbourne.
At her Sydney show at Qudos Bank Arena, Lipa told the crowd: “I made most of Radical Optimism with this person and he’s one of my favourite artists. He’s inspired me a lot. I manifested and dreamt about working with him one day and then I managed to make one of my favourite albums with him.”
Lipa and Parker first started working together in mid-2022. Lipa has said she “was so nervous because I’m just such a fan of Kevin’s” when the collaboration began.
“Houdini” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 after its 2024 release and served as the lead single from Radical Optimism, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album also earned Lipa a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Tame Impala are currently touring the world behind their 2023 album The Slow Rush (Collector’s Edition).
Dua Lipa performs on stage during the Radical Optimism European Tour at Sportpaleis on June 12, 2025 in Antwerpen, Belgium.
