Jawdropped, a Los Angeles power pop band formed in 2024, have signed to Transgressive/Canvasback and released a new single titled “Monday”.
They previously released the EP Just Fantasy. The new track follows that release.
“I can’t wait for Monday ’cause that’s gonna be the day/ That I say the one thing, the one thing I gotta say.”
The song centers on the moment before a confession. It pairs brisk guitar hooks and driving drums with lyrics about anticipation and anxiety.
In a press release the band said:
“‘Monday’ is about treading the waters of anticipation, but deciding to face your feelings head on. The truth will set you free, even if it’s just the Sunday scaries.”
The single is accompanied by a video directed by Rob Fraebel.
