Latto says May 29 LP Big Mama will be her retirement album. The 28-year-old's 17-track record includes singles and a GloRilla feature.

Latto announced that her upcoming album Big Mama, due May 29, will be her “retirement album” and her final LP.

The Atlanta rapper, 28, made the announcement Friday. “5/29 My retirement album Thank you for everything,” Latto wrote to her fans on X.
Fans reacted with surprise. Latto will have released four studio albums when Big Mama arrives.
“Latto don’t piss me the f–k off today fr,” one frustrated fanreplied. Another responded: “Be so for real you’re going to be right back to making music within 2 years.”
Latto is currently pregnant. The announcement has prompted speculation she may shift focus to motherhood.
Big Mama will be released May 29 with 17 tracks. The LP includes previously released singles “Somebody,” “Business & Personal”and “GOMF” featuring GloRilla.
Her previous album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea, arrived in 2024 and debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200. That project featured Megan Thee Stallion, Hunxho, Coco Jones, Ciara, Mariah the Scientist and Teezo Touchdown.
Singles from Latto that have reached the Billboard Hot 100 include “Brokey,” “Sunday Service” and “Big Mama.” She also enlisted Cardi B for the “Put It on Da Floor” remix and Playboi Carti for the remix to “Blick Sum.”
Many rappers have publicly teased retirement in the past and later returned to the studio.
Big Mama is due May 29 via Streamcut and RCA Records.
