Epic Games extended Laufey's 'A Matter Of Time' Fortnite experience to July 29, adding two weeks to Season 14 and keeping 'The Final Hour' available.

Epic Games has extended Laufey’s ‘A Matter Of Time’ Fortnite experience. The crossover, part of Fortnite Festival season 14, will now run through July 29, 2026, two weeks longer than the original July 15 end date.
Fortnite Festival season 14 went live on April 16 with Laufey as the headliner. The collaboration includes in-game cosmetics and emotes inspired by her A Matter Of Time arena tour, and several songs from the record were added to the game.
The crossover also includes the ‘Laufey: The Final Hour’ experience. A press release described it as:
A three‑act surreal fairytale set inside an enchanted castle, players journey through Laufey’s imagination, moving from a swirling hall of mirrors and crashing pirate ship room to a towering clockwork tunnel and an intimate jazz club finale. Along the way, there are immersive performances of favourites ‘Lover Girl’ and ‘Too Little, Too Late’ as well as her new hit song ‘Madwoman’ from ‘A Matter of Time: The Final Hour’. Afterward, players can stay to socialise, uncover hidden easter eggs, and take part in Laufey‑themed trivia.
Originally the season was due to end on July 15. Epic Games announced a two-week extension on May 5, 2026.
A matter of… more time 🕐 The Season 14 Music Pass will now conclude on July 29th.
Speaking to NME before the event launched, Laufey said:
“It’s a collaboration you might not expect from me. When I started out, I was known as this jazz girl and people assumed I was timid and soft. Running around with a gun [in Fortnite] is absolutely the best way to show that there are so many more layers to me.”
“Fortnite is just so fantastical. It’s something that you’d never see in real life but if you closed your eyes while listening to my music, it’s the world you might dream up. It’s uber romantic and very expressionist, in a way. I want to encourage my fans to be the biggest version of themselves. Inside a video game, you’re free to be the most [authentic] version of yourself and not feel like you’re being judged.”
Players have also been sharing videos from the game’s new karaoke mode across social media.
Separately, Fortnite recently added a set of Star Wars experiences, including a Darth Vader survival horror mode. Outside of Fortnite news, reports suggest Grand Theft Auto 6 could be the most expensive video game ever made.
