NBA YoungBoy Withdraws From Rolling Loud Orlando; Ken Carson Named Sunday Headliner

NBA YoungBoy canceled his Rolling Loud Orlando set on May 7 via Instagram Stories; Ken Carson will replace him as the Sunday headliner.

NBA YoungBoy announced on Thursday, May 7, that he will not perform at this weekend’s Rolling Loud festival in Orlando, Florida. The rapper posted the message to his Instagram Stories, writing that he needs time away from touring and performing.

To my Rolling Loud family, I won’t be making it this time. I just need some time away from traveling and performing right now. Love to everybody supporting me, I’ll forever appreciate y’all!

Rolling Loud reposted YoungBoy’s story and updated the Orlando lineup minutes later, naming Ken Carson as the new Sunday headliner. The festival shared a new lineup poster with the caption: “PLEASE WELCOME OUR NEW SUNDAY HEADLINER, @kencarson.” Carson was not on the original bill.

The three-day festival opens Friday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, with Don Toliver billed as the Friday headliner. Playboy Carti is listed as Saturday’s headliner. Other performers slated for the weekend include Sexyy Red, Chief Keef, EsDeeKid, Pooh Shiesty and PlaqueBoyMax.

This is Rolling Loud’s first event in Orlando after 10 editions in Miami. Orlando is the only U.S. Rolling Loud stop scheduled for this year; the festival has previously staged events in the New York and Los Angeles areas and has expanded internationally. The most recent overseas Rolling Loud took place last year in India, with headliners Central Cee, Wiz Khalifa, Karan Aujla and Don Toliver.

Ken Carson earned his first Billboard 200 No. 1 last year with the album More Chaos. He had been slated to headline Rolling Loud Australia earlier this year before that March festival was canceled.
