No Doubt opened night 1 of their 18-show residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere on Wednesday, May 6. The band played a 21-song set. The performance leaned heavily on their 1995 breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom.

The show began at about 8:50 p.m. PT. They opened with the Tragic Kingdom title track. The group ran through many of that album’s highlights, including “Just a Girl,” “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs,” “Sunday Morning,” and “Excuse Me Mr.” In total, No Doubt played 10 of Tragic Kingdom’s 14 tracks that night.

Beyond Tragic Kingdom, the night included one song each from the band’s pre-Tragic Kingdom releases — the 1992 self-titled No Doubt and the 1995 independent The Beacon Street Collection. Their 2000s output was also represented: four songs each from Return of Saturn (2000) and Rock Steady (2001). The 2012 album Push and Shove was the only studio record not included in the set.

The residency runs through June 13. The band had two additional Sphere shows scheduled later this week.
