Noah Kahan and Matt Damon Trade ‘Stick Season’ for ‘Skit Season’ in New SNL Promos

Noah Kahan’s just-released fourth studio album, The Great Divide, debuts atop the Billboard 200 this week. He also appears in new Saturday Night Live promos with host Matt Damon, where castmember Ben Marshall riffs on Kahan’s breakthrough single “Stick Season.”
In the spot Kahan opens, “This is so exciting. I’ve always wanted to do something with Matt and Ben,” and Marshall replies, “Aw, thanks so much, man. That’s so cool.” Kahan then corrects himself: “I’m sorry, I meant Ben Affleck.” Marshall asks, “Why would you bring that up now, right?” and Kahan adds, “It’s the first time I’m seeing Matt!”
Damon tells Kahan, “We’d actually love to do something with you.” Kahan answers, “Hell yeah, amazing. Thank you. Huge fan!”
Marshall later turns to a Kahan-themed joke, saying, “More like Skit Season,” a direct play on “Stick Season.” Damon responds, “This is your first-ever promo and you blow it on ‘Skit Season’?” and Kahan chides, “Come on, you’re better than that, Ben.” Marshall’s next try, “more like Noah Ka-haha-han,” lands better with Damon and Kahan.
Kahan is returning to SNL as musical guest for the first time since his December 2023 debut. Damon will host SNL for the third time in 25 years, following appearances in October 2022 and December 2018. In the promo Kahan quips that at this rate Damon should join the Five-Timers Club around 2052.
Saturday Night Live airs at 11:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. PT on NBC and streams on Peacock.
