Noah Kahan performed ‘The Great Divide’ and ‘Doors’ on Saturday Night Live, with tour dates and Bonnaroo 2026 also announced.
Noah Kahan returned to Saturday Night Live on May 9 with performances of The Great Divide and Doors.
The Vermont singer-songwriter brought two songs from his fourth studio album, The Great Divide, to the SNL stage as musical guest alongside host Matt Damon. It was Kahan’s second appearance on the show, following his debut in December 2023.
For this visit, he was backed by his full band for runs through the album’s title track and the acoustic ballad Doors.
The episode aired as the penultimate installment of SNL’s 51st season. The finale is set for next week with host Will Ferrell and musical guest Paul McCartney. McCartney’s new album, The Boys Of Dungeon Lane, is due on May 29.
Kahan has also lined up a world tour behind the new record. Dates begin in Australia and New Zealand in September and October, before moving to the UK and Ireland in November and then mainland Europe. Remaining tickets are available here.

Kahan has previously described the themes behind The Great Divide. “From a long silence forms a divide, a great expanse demanding attention. I stare across it. I see old friends, my father, my mother, my siblings, my younger self, the great state of Vermont. I want to scream these feelings, to gesticulate wildly at the figures on the other side, but my voice has grown hoarse and muted after years of climbing a ladder towards the wild, spiralling dreams that have materialised in front of me,” he said.
“Instead, I wrote them down next to a piano in Nashville, next to a pond in Guilford Vermont, in a legendary studio in upstate New York, on a farm with a firetower in Only, Tennessee. The songs are the words I would say if I could. They are the fears I dance with in the moments before I drift off to sleep. The music here is my best attempt to delve deeper into the people, places, and feelings that have made me who I am. I am grateful for all of it, for all of you, for listening to them, if you choose to do so.”
He also reflected on the success of his hit Stick Season in a 2023 interview with NME. “I never thought this was gonna happen to me,” he said then.
