Riley Green Joins The Voice as Season 30 Coach Alongside Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine
Riley Green has joined The Voice as a season 30 coach, alongside Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, ahead of the show's fall return.
Riley Green is headed to The Voice. The country star said on social media Saturday, May 9, that he will join the NBC competition series as a coach for season 30.
Green made the announcement before taking the stage at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre in Alpharetta, Georgia. He is currently in the middle of his Cowboy As It Gets arena tour across North America.
“I guess y’all can start calling me coach… see ya this fall. @nbcthevoice #thevoice,” Green wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.
The “Worst Way” singer joins Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, who were previously announced as coaches for the upcoming season. The Voice will air this fall on NBC and stream on Peacock. Levine’s contestant, singer Alexia Jayy, won Season 29 in April 2025.
Green’s post includes a voicemail clip from Clarkson. In the message, she greets him using his full name and says, “That is officially the last time we’re gonna use each other’s full name ’cause we’re not tools.” She adds, “But we’ve never officially met. I’m super stoked to coach alongside you.”
Clarkson also says she is a “superfan” and notes that it is still a competition. She tells Green she sent him a personalized The Voice coach chair, decorated with duck calls, and jokes, “I think you’re gonna need the practice because Kelly’s gonna whoop that ass.”
Comments on the post included a message from host Carson Daly, who wrote, “Welcome to the fam!! Can’t wait to hang! You drink right? Pls God say yes.”
Green arrives at the show after a strong run on the charts. He has scored four No. 1 hits on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, including “Worst Way” and “You Look Like You Love Me,” his collaboration with Ella Langley. He has also picked up multiple CMA and ACM Awards.
He is also set to perform at the ACM Awards on May 17. He is nominated for male artist of the year, album of the year for Don’t Mind If I Do (Deluxe), artist-songwriter of the year, and music event of the year for “Don’t Mind If I Do,” featuring Langley.
In April, Green made his acting debut on the CBS series Marshals. He plays Garrett, a former Navy SEAL who arrives in Montana while dealing with personal demons he needs to put to rest.
