Show Me The Body Announce Alone Together, Share New Single “No God”

Show Me The Body have announced a new album, Alone Together, due out in July via Loma Vista. The New York City punks have also released a new single, “No God,” following last month’s “Dance In The USA.”

The record was produced by Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume. Åhlund is known for his work with Robyn, including the Body Talk trilogy and this year’s Sexistential. Blume, meanwhile, has been extending beyond hip-hop production with credits that include Geese’s Getting Killed.

Speaking about the album’s direction, frontman Julian Cashwan Pratt said the band aimed to lean into what makes them sound like themselves. “[Åhlund] was like, ‘Those parts only your band could do? You should just do that all the time. All the parts that sound like everybody else, you should do less.’”

“No God” moves on hypnotic, percussive electric guitars while Pratt delivers shout-rap lines about control and dependence: “I will wait for no god to make it real… I need to make it real!” The video, directed by Alex Huggins, features the masked street racer License.
