The tour began in 2022. Last year, it was announced that it had passed $1 billion (£740 million) in earnings, making it a record for a male recording artist. That total was later surpassed last winter, though it includes ticket sales from 2026 dates. The tour has now moved through 153 shows and sold 7.5 million tickets.
The Weeknd will also continue his partnership with Global Citizen to help raise funds for access to quality education for children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
A portion of every ticket sold for the 2026 run will go toward education support for underprivileged children, as well as food aid tied to the global hunger crisis through the same partnership. To date, more than $8.5 million has been donated to the XO Humanitarian Fund and Global Citizen from the After Hours Til Dawn tour alone.
Earlier this year, Spotify marked 20 years by publishing its most-streamed artists. The Weeknd placed fourth on that list, while his 2019 single “Blinding Lights” finished first among songs.
