Welcome Strawberry released the Floral Arrangements EP today. The Oakland shoegaze band issued the short collection as a low-key follow-up to last years sophomore album Desperate Flower.
On Bandcamp the group describes Floral Arrangements as “an acoustic companion piece.” The EP gathers a new song, a remix of a track from Desperate Flower, and a cover of As Big As You Are, a 2020 song from their Bay Area contemporaries Aluminum.
The final track is an old demo. When the big guitars kicked in, they startled my cat.
Floral Arrangements is out now on Cherub Dream. Welcome Strawberry leader Cyrus VandenBerghe is also a member of Sloome, which released the album Blue Fire Doom last month.
